The series is set in the Florida Keys and centers on a close-knit family of four adult siblings whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother returns home.

So I binged the rest of the season yesterday and it really picks up the pace and quality after the fifth episode. Overall it's a wonderful drama with great writing and acting, but I still woulnd't call it the best Netflix show, as I still prefer Orange and Daredevil (but it's definetely better than HoC). However, I believe it has the chance to achieve true greatness in its second season, but we will have to wait for that.
The series focuses on the lives of the Rayburn family, who own and run a hotel in the Florida Keys. When the eldest son and black sheep of the family, Danny, returns home for his parents' 45th wedding anniversary, he quickly causes turmoil amongst the family who have a dark past–the death of one of their siblings when they were younger. When Danny gets caught up in the criminal world, he threatens to bring down his entire family and their legacy.
So I'm five episodes in and... I don't know. The characters are okay, the intrigue is decent (although Damages did the flashforward thing way better), but overall it's incredibely, painfully slow. Probably one of the slowest starts to a series I have ever seen, and that includes The Wire. But I'll try to finish the entire season to see how it pans out.
