Downton Abbey is an ITV drama set in 1912 about the Crawley household. It is written by Julian Fellowes and stars Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, and Elizabeth McGovern.

Primeval

Nick Cutter and his team as they investigate anomalies in time found in the Forest of Dean. An unfortunate side-effect of the anomalies is that dinosaurs are moving through them and into the present time, making the team's investigations that much more stressful.

"Spooks" actor Rupert Penry-Jones stars as Joseph Chandler, a detective hunting a modern-day serial killer.

Britain's Got Talent

The search for the next big variety act in the UK is on with ITV's Britain's Got Talent. Popular comedians and hosts Ant and Dec join the judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden on this highly anticipated show that will culminate in not only a big cash prize of £100,000 for the winning act, but also a starring slot performing in The Royal Variety Performance.

Law & Order: UK

The longest running crime series in U.S. television history is making its way across the pond for a UK reworking. Series creator Dick Wolf is set to give Law & Order a makeover-for fans in the UK. Law & Order: UK promises to retain the grittiness of the original series, but be uniquely British.

Midsomer Murders

This English crime drama series, based on books by Caroline Graham, is filmed mostly in the villages and towns of the rural counties of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. A veteran DCI and his young Sergeant investigate murders around the regional community of Midsomer.

Poirot

This is a British series which brings to life Agatha Christie's Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, whose sleuthing, for the purposes of this series, belongs chiefly in the 1930s.

Wire in the Blood

Based on characters in the novels by Val McDermid, "Wire in the Blood" centers around Dr. Tony Hill, a clinical psychologist who is able to tap into his own dark side to get inside the heads of serial killers.
