The People's Choice Award winner of Les E-Magiciens Festival 2005, a European Student digital show. An eyecandy for your saturday's boredom ...
Btw, when playing quicktime and real media files, I strongly recommend using Quick time alternative and Real alternative. These are only codecs, installed along with "media player classic".
Try 'em if you're watching .mov or .rm files from time to time. Much better than the original real media player and quick time player ...
Remember last week's test?
This one's better, and entirely done by me :)
(last one I had for a long time, but wasn't my invention).
If you haven't tried it yet - http://intelligence-test.net/part2
P.S. I know there are some issues on the site (bugs with the calendar or today's, tomorrow's episodes) here and there, I'll try concentrating on that during the weekend :)
I'm sure a lot of you are using www.thepiratebay.org. What you might have missed is their 'legal' page ... Go ahead and laugh to tears in there ... (they are posting threatening e-mails from microsoft, sony, sega, dreamworks etc. and their response ... usually hilarious).
Alright guys time for some real brain twisting:
It's a very nice test, I know it for years now, go ahead and test yourself ...
Please no clues in the comments, only results :)
I've added a mechanism for mining the data from amazon.com for every show in here, so if you're about to buy a DVD season from you favourite show - please do it though next-episode.net :)
You can find the link right after the show's summary, but probably I'll move it elsewhere in the next few days.
On a side note - Here's a little something for the photography lovers among you:
Next-episode.net Recommends ... (Volume 1)
I'll start this with something pretty silly and at the same time incredibly funny:
It's a full length movie, and can be found at every major torrent site. Every fan of stand-up comedy will appreciate it, so for you - it's a must.
If you're not that big a fan of stand-up comedy, watch it just for the hell of it - maybe you'll enjoy a documentary about a joke being told by like most of the comedians around ...:)
I'm not sure why, but this thing seemed pretty cool to me ....
Btw, I'm thinking of making Tuesday a day for "next-episode recommends"
A.K.A - I'll try to give you torrent links to cool/funny movies/videos/stuff that you might have missed, but impressed me enough.
Starting tonight :)
Came across a site that requires you to login in order to read an article? Just go to bugmenot.com, enter the url of the site, and most likely you'll instantly get username/pass for that site :)
Pretty neat idea ... I think there's also a firefox extension for this ....
Well, as previously declared, friday will be a day for logic puzzles :) So here's a very cool one ...
I'm copy/pasting the description for it:
This is a creative graphical puzzle divided into 15 stages. Each stage comes with a digital image that contains a text that allows you to get to the next stage.
NOTE: The text is always written in a clear form, it's just disguised in some way. There are no riddles or such things. The text is always located within the image file. It's never a reference to a place outside this website!
This puzzle is case sensitive.
When you find the answer hidden in the image, just type it in the text field below and click submit!
Thanks to marcfagnouhome (next-episode.net user) who gave me the idea, there is now a new feature - adding a custom search engine(s).
If you go to settings/my search engine(s) you'll find a mechanism to add your very own search engines, which will be then used on the show's lists to automate your search needs :)
For more info just read what it says in settings/my search engine(s), or write in the forum ...
As this is a new feature, I'm sure you won't be totaly satisfied with the way I've implemented it, so feel free (as always) to comment it and suggest improvements.
Hi guys. I'm gonna share some thoughts with you, ask for something and (sure enough) give you a funny link :)
Thoughts part - fox sux. How come, every single brilliant show get's canceled? (family guy, futurama comes in mind). Although family guy was given a second chance ...
Are the viewers THAT dumb (that they don't appreciate a good show when they see it), or it's just a messy company policy and incompetence ... (putting shows in inadequade timeslots).
The reason I'm writing this is that (as it seems) Arrested Development is next on Fox's black list.
Other shows that are always struggling for ratings are Scrubs and The Office (Us). Ok, my final verdict - the major audience just doesn't get the humour ... it's too ... I don't know what ... intelligent?
I was gonna ask for something, well - that's a simple one. I haven't really improved the site in a while, so I'm open for suggestions. What do you want to see added as a feature to the site? Or modified? Just comment it in here, I'll try to do my best ...
Finally - teh fun part ;)
It's a paper plane ... I don't know ... simulator?
Nah, not a simulator, more than a semi-tutorial on how to make cool paper planes (done in flash). Don't disregard it as easily ... In school or in the office, you can always impress people with advanced stuff like that :) So give it a try.
Waiting for your feedback!
It's a site I'm visiting from time to time ....
The headline says it all :)
Here's the link for it's optical illusions (chances are that you've already seen them, but there's a lot of other stuff on that site ....)
Somehow, http://next-episode.net dropped from google's pagerank from 5 to 0 :( I don't know how or why ...
Please if anyone has any idea what might have caused this ... contact me ...
On the same topic, a lot of people are sending me nice feedback about the site (and I'm oh so thankful for that), and if you want to somehow contribute to the site - please spread the word about it ... I want to get it back higher in google's rankings (post the link in the forums you visit, etc.). Thanks!
Now something (I guess) fun ....
It's .... something .... I'm unsure what exactly, but all the people I've showed it to agreed that it's cool (even though noone knew what the game's objective was). Try it :) It requires Java, so if you don't have it - spare the 10 minutes to download it (I did), it's totaly worth it!
