Stumbled upon a few (fucking old but still great) jokes, so there:
A Dyslexic man walks into a bra
A sandwich walks into a bar.
The barman says "Sorry we don't serve food in here"
A rabbi, a priest and a vicar walk into a bar.
The barman says 'Is this some kind of a joke ?'
P.S. TV.com decided to do a maintenance right in the middle of next-episode.net update. Some shows might be messed up. No panic please - it'll be fixed shortly :)
(it says 3am pacific on tv.com)
I've slightly upgraded the poll feature with a "hide" link, which gives you the opportunity to either:
a) hide the poll entirely from the site's layout
b) enable a hide/show functionality which will toggle the visibility of the results only
That is if you don't care about the polls. (in which case you should be ashamed and go punish yourself by watching Spiderman 3 or something .. yeah, that should teach you).
So I got up at 8 AM. I was out and about from about 9 AM, to 4 PM. Than I was stuck in front of the PC till 7 PM. And Santah goes “make a funny news post about the Japanese office thingie”. Right. I’m outta funny today. Ok, I’ll give it a shot:
A pirate walks into a bar, wearing a steering wheel on his crotch. The bartender says “Mate, you have a steering wheel on your crotch”, The pirate says “Aye, it’s driving me nuts”.
After Karen overwrote my latest news article to pimp her poll (which she is losing lost (damn you --kb!) by the way!) I was extremely offended and totally decided to never post news again. Ever. But you guys are too awesome. Youíre using the tipline. Youíre contributing. Iím all teared up sitting at home thinking about just how much I love you.
Anyway, on to the news! Halo2, forum veteran and an all around strapping chap, has made a pretty much amazing job of telling us just what shows to expect for the 08/09 season. He even went to great lengths to accommodate those of us with the attention span of a drugged up panda on a hot afternoon (me), and filtered some that he thought were exiting. Definitely check out his thread on the forums, thereís a wealth of information to be had there.
User Lagunaleonhart went crazy and gave all sorts of tips. Firstly he reports that Moonlight has been canceled, which is good news for all of us that are not into male vampire love featuring Logan from Veronica Mars. Iím sorry Moonlight fans, I donít want to be rude, but do try liking something that is actually good next time. Like New Amsterdam, which has also apparently been axed. Yeah. UmÖ what can I tell ya... stick to commercial success and you wonít be burned. Just look at Prison Brake, a show that has gotten a ton of hate from me and which is getting a new season. Who wouldíve guessed. Laguna also supplied a short synopsis for the fourth season, but man, itís so ridiculous it should get a news post on its own. And that oneís getting all long and stuff.
Ps: I saw some other fun things in the tipline, that are getting their own news posts soon. I read/watch everything, so keep Ďem coming guys! Pss: the youtube vid was supplied by sep, but I couldnít stick it in there without ruining my amazing joke, so say THANKS SEP everyone!
Apologies to The Minor God of Gossip (aka Arashi) for displacing his latest news so quickly (click on the news section up top to go back and read what he had to say on Scrubs), but this definitely deserved it's own news post.
After much nagging and cajoling from just about everyone, Santah (aka God of Next Episode) has finally created a polls section. W00t!!
The first poll topic was an obvious one, but I'll be changing them around once a week or so. There is also a new section in the Forums under General Discussion for all things poll related.
So, apparently Scrubs refuses to die. In true Jericho fashion, the show that we at next-episode used to love is getting a continuation. In a post on myspace (LOL! MYSPACE! OLDSCHOOL YO!) Zach Braff, the guy that made an awesome movie and than several crappy ones, states that the last episode we saw (My Princess in your watch lists) is in fact not the finale of the series, but just the finale of this season. Scrubs is moving to ABC in the fall, for it’s final final, promise, swear, final season.
There was also some confusion with the episodes, as they were aired out of order, because NBC is just the bad guy in this whole thing. Hate NBC internet masses. You can of course thank us, and only us, for bringing you this news and we totally didn’t copy the whole thing from Jarvo, who posted on the forums. Seriously. We don’t even know who that Jarvo guy is. We would say, thank you if we did though. We would also say that he could’ve totally used the tip line, ‘cause it was made for stuff like that! We could even credit this imaginary Jarvo person if he existed and used the tipline. Yeah.
We’re like bleeding edge here at next-episode. We always bring you the best and most current of news. Almost daily. Or bi-daily. Or once a week. Anyway, that doesn’t matter, because House has a spin-off in the works!
A little bird, that goes by the name of TV Guide, told a site, that told a friend, who told me on icq, that work is underway on a house spin-off. Apparently there is a new male character, with a multi-episode storyline, that will be introduced this season. If he’s popular with the ladiessheep audience we will get our spin-off. We can’t lie to you. We’re exited like the little girl Santah bitch Arashi is!
Ok checkbox time – bad humor at our own expense – check; bad humor at someone else’s expense – check; bad humor at Santah’s expense – check. We’re all set in this news piece people, let’s GO!
Since the tip line is more or less dead (shame on you people, youíre making me work here), Iím back to making up news. Or rather, dancing around having to look for 10 minutes to find something relevant. Thatís why I love the forums. The forums are always relevant and I donít have to go outside of my comfort zone and visit other sites. Also theyíre awesome. Register today.
Anyway, thereís a recent thread about the 10 worst TV shows of all time. You should really check it out and give feedback. Weíre all about community here on next-episode, so go in and tell everyone how much Lost and Prison Break suck. You know thatís what Iím doing.
ps: here are somefunnyvideos (three links people, click on all of them) about a recent game release you might have heard about.
As Arashi went dark right after I made the "tip line" for him (coincidence? I think not!) - here I am again to share something the users [Halo2 and 3v1lkr0w] contributed:
Apparently SkyOne is working on somewhat reviving the Blake's 7 Sci-Fi Series. More info can be found here.
I wish I could advice you to download the old episodes and watch them [if you haven't already], but I recently bumped into an episode of this show, and it ages BADLY :(
Offtopic - is it just me, or are the recent Battlestar episodes really good? Like almost Season 1 good?
