Tue Feb 20 - Beta testers needed for a real quick test

Hey all, I've been developing a Java Application (my first) for mobile phones for some
time now, but there's no way for me to test compatibility with different phones.
(although it should work on any phone that supports java applications/games).

So I'm asking for your help - if you have the time to spare - I've prepared a test version of the application which you can find here.

That's pretty much it.

Don't expect anything from the test application it's only for testing the compatibility ...

Any help would be much appreciated.. Thank you!

do you need the test asap? i would test it on my dad's N73 but hes leaving taking his phone and laptop (which has the bluetooth connectivity) and will be back in 2 weeks :| i bet the full version will be out by then :D

from my experience with my 3650 (which i cant transfer either since i only use my dad's laptop) i only needed JAR files, i think the JAD is basically like a "readme" for the cpu to know where the JAR is located or something

Does not seem to work on my Windows Mobile 5 O2 Atom. I guess I'd need a java interpreter or something though, never tried java apps on Windows Mobile before.

Worked on my Qtek 9100 (HTC Windows Mobile 5 thingy with a slide-out keyboard)
Java apps run inside a program called the MIDlet Manager on Windows Mobile, you can look for that app radix? Don't know if is included on all models.

The Jad file is just a file for telling the phone about permissions it needs, if the midlet is signed the info also goes in the jad file, for most simple apps some phones ignore it and some phones need it. U also always need it if installing via wap.
