Next Episode App - Now Available in the iTunes Appstore + TV News Weekly Review
Apple was amazingly quick in approving the
Next Episode app
, and it's now
in the store.
You can see some screenshots and get it
It's $0.99 for now, but it'll probably jump to $2.99 soon enough, so get it while the sale lasts.
Please rate and/or review the app if you have the time. Every rating will greatly help Next Episode :)
To use your existing (site) account
with the app, follow the
simple instructions in here
Also, a news roundup from Orlando
21/03/10 - TV News Weekly Review #24 - The Flying Fish Zombification
It's 28/03/10, 21:27 (9:27 PM). Too tired to do a news review and because we are not a late night time show, wait until tommorow.

Got scared a little when I didn't see where to link my account, but then I saw the instructions. Works great. Love it :-)
loving it already! great work!
nice, just need an option to switch off all the annoying hints.
Hints are displayed only once. Shouldn't be something to complain about :)
got it! stuff to watch list doesnt seem to know what you are "not tracking"?
anyway great app
great stuff, one of its kind apps,
Dont forget to rate it with a good 5 stars, to support the hard work involved.
Love it and a snip at $0.99
Working great... If I tell a friend to use it, who doesn't have an existing account, will he be able to set up his shows and everything on the iPhone and still be able to see it at next-episode.net like I can? Or will they have to set up an account here first and link it on the iphone?
Yea, first here if he wants to use it both in a browser and on the device:)
You did a REALLY GOOD JOB with this app! Well done!
Make an Android version for us that hate anything Apple :)

What is the Recent section (on top) of the Recent "tab" (on bottom)? Mine shows tomorrow's episodes. The Calendar section (on top) shows episodes from the previous week. So what does Recent mean?
Great job, it works perfect.
Errr... Actually I can't tell which tab (on top) I'm looking at because hitting either of the buttons toggles between the two. Basically, one of the tabs shows what's on tomorrow and labels it "tomorrow." The other tab shows what's on tomorrow and the following days, labeling it "Monday," "Tuesday," etc.
I figured the Recent tab would show what episodes were on recently... not in the future... What am I misinterpreting?
bought it now! Lets see how it is.. :)
'Recent' displays the central column of your n-e homepage.
'Calendar' displays the future section of the right column of your n-e homepage.
Great app - exactly like site. Only issue i have is no (apparent?) ordering on 'Stuff to watch'. 'Manage Watched' is alphabetised, but no idea about 'Stuff to watch'
ahhh... I had only 3 days set for past shows in my settings, so I wasn't seeing any recently aired.
Just need to be able to "tick off" those shows that we have watched and have that update on the site, that would be awesome. Even without that it is a fantastic app, thanks Santah
comment # 20 by
pkdunn - you can do that
bought and installed. looks great so far :)
It's 0.79€ in France! Totally worth it!
sweet! installed and linked:)

I started work on a Windows Mobile version, but gave up when I asked for some XML to be fixed and if a particular identifier was going to work that I should be working on the GUI instead.
Well, for the end user the GUI and app navigation is what counts, and what everything should be planned around. If you don't have idea how your app will behave and look like, it's probably a bad idea to to start working on it at all (otherwise you'll rewrite a lot, multiple times).
Anyway, you're a bit out of line here.
Nice, bought it over the weekend and didn't visit this site. Now I came here to bitch about the lacking user account integration: First link explains it all ;-)
Thx, great app!

Nice.. The stuff to watch though seems problematic. I've marked a few shows as not tracking on the web site, but they still show up in my stuff to watch.. Other stuff to watch comes across correctly. Good job though - well worth the money.
I wish I could see just recent episodes on my phone but all episodes when on the website. I'd doing different things in each place, so separate settings would be preferable.
On the phone I just want to quickly see what's happening, or to show someone what has my interest. On the website I want to see what else is on that I might be interested.
You can do that. Just change the settings on the site. The app will keep it's current settings :)
Excellent. That's done what I want.
Looked everywhere how to you tick off what you have watched on the app. I have logged in etc. When I click managed watched it just comes up with ep description
comment # 33 by
So you didn't read the helpful hints? You swipe to mark them as watched.
Sorry man I was pretty hammered as I tried it the first time (I think I stopped reading them after the first few I might reset them)
Works a treat, top site and app. Use the site every day for the last few years.
thx for that. bought it straight away!
