Steven Spielberg and Stephen King are partnering to create a series based on King's book of the same name. The plot is set in a Maine town that is suddenly overtaken by a force field preventing the locals from reaching the outside world.
So it ended, I hoped/ thought it was all going to make sense and get tied up in a neat little bow at the end, but alas no...
It ended, the dome came down, but we've got aliens running around, the primary cast members were positioned for a new season.
We had characters jailed that need to be set free and an enemy that's still scheming schemes we won't see and it ended as if it was coming back as maybe a show called out of the dome.
It won't go down as a classic :(

Yeah it's like the show is sitting there treading water. There's just not a lot going on, and what is going on is boring, stupid, and badly acted.
There isn't even any horror...not really sure why Steven King lent his name to this one at all.

Not sure we can hang this one all on Steven King though...the acting in this show is pretty weak for a start. Then again this isn't helped much by how the characters themselves were written...was it Steven King who wrote the script?]
I don't think you can blame King for it now, if you've read the novel (which was pretty good) only the dome itself and a few of the characters are the same or similar up to about half way through the first season, after that its anybodies guess as to whose responsible. Basically when it started to deviated from the Novel, the show turned to crap.

I basically just want to slap all the characters, they all seem so stupid.
i could be wrong, but i think he only wrote the script for the first episode of season 2. he does sell his work for $1, so are we surprised? yes i am, cause shawshank is my favourite film. It's definitely not him.

Stephen King rarely does live up to expectations... I used to be a huge fan, I've read everything up to Bag of Bones, I think, and I have them all in hardback. But Bag of Bones really let me down, and I think everything he's done since (of the ones I have read) have been pretty weak.
Shame, he was such a horror powerhouse back in the day.
his episode of the x files was pretty good.

I gave this show up ages ago...when it first came out I was like "hey Steven King, awesome"...just didn't live up to expectations.

Nope, no better, but I'm persevering.

I'm about 5 episodes behind with no real interest in the show anymore, this season has been terrible. Has it gotten any better towards the end or can i safely just drop it?
