A tv series adaptation of Terry Gilliam's 1995 feature film of the same name. The movie starred Bruce Willis as James Cole, a convicted criminal in a post-apocalyptic future where the Earth's population is forced to live underground after a deadly virus. In a bid to earn a pardon, Cole uses the imperfect science of time travel to help collect information on the virus released by the Army of the Twelve Monkeys.
Omg I have watched this show at least 5x and I have only ever watched a show more than once a couple of times. It is the best time travel show where it does pay attention to what they did in the past and future. Love the characters and as I am scrolling through time travel shows I seen this and I really want to watch it again but in a watch party.
Anyway if you like post apocalyptic with time travel, this is it.

I'm trying to get friends into it. They are sci-fi fans and they really don't know what they are missing

Last season wasn't so good in my opinion left me a bit bitter. But this one is much much better.
Finally the full story is revealed and pretty solid one especially considering how complicated those timelines are.
The twist was unexpected but there were multiple hints I missed before.
Curious about the finale now
Yeah one hint was so good. I only noticed when watching it all again.
"you little shit" is said by all of the parents in the family to their kid. And Jones says it to Cole too.

anyone else up on this. for me, season 4 has been amazing. Ive been rewatching while watching season 4 and can't believe stuff that was clearly set up previously. And the latest episode was just awesome!
Good idea about re-watching. I wish I had thought of it prior to this series starting. As much as I enjoy this one, I feel lost about half the time. I know it's just that I can't remember to details. 12 Monkeys is most definitely a smart show. I like the way they write it with an intelligent audience as their target. I just wish I could remember!
Yeah I was glad I did rewatch. If you watch 3x01 it does fill in some gaps. The ending anyway. But there are hints all through the series for the big 4x09 twist.
