A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros, A young, naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall (aka Dunk) and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.
Also known as: Tales of Dunk & Egg, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight
It didn't feel boring at all to me. I would describe it as a simple story with a simple goal.
The main character is honest and likeable, I have a soft spot for characters like him.
The other MC looks like he is going to be the anchor that will help him grow.
The story reminds me a bit of A Knight's Tale which is another plus for me.
Can't wait for Episode 2 :)

I found it hard to finish and extremely boring.
But I stuck it out to the end. I don't think they knew what direction they wanted to go. And the Episode felt a tad short. They introduced the main character and took forever. Come on 1 guy?
I hope EP2 is way better of this show or I will drop it.
Scenery etc was great. But even the main character felt like a klutz, more so than he should have, and like he was wrong for the part.

Not for me I got about a third of the way through the first episode and binned it. YMMV.

If Game of Thrones hadn't had such a shit last few seasons and ending I might actually care about this. But like House of Dragons, I'll be ignoring this one too as I was so thoroughly turned off from this franchise in how the original series was ended I just can't care here.
The way GoT ended was an abomination for sure.
But the persons most responsible (David Benioff & D.B. Weiss) for that have nothing to do with this show or House of Dragons.
I was hoping this show would expand the stories of Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. Tie them together in some way. Fill in some gaps. But I am starting to get the impression that this show is its own story and makes no attempt to connect the aforementioned shows.
