When orphan Yukito Yanagi meets an eccentric disciple of his father, his life changes radically. Yukito is taken to his birthplace of Ayakajima - an archipelago of seven islands rumored to be home to mysterious beings called "Mitama" and dragons. Once there, he meets two other disciples of his father who are charged with keeping the peace of the island. But this peace is now threatening to come apart at the seams!
