Detective Renée Ballard is tasked with running the LAPD's new cold case division-a poorly funded, all-volunteer unit with the largest case load in the city. When she uncovers a larger conspiracy during her investigations, she'll lean on the assistance of her retired ally, Harry Bosch, to navigate the dangers that threaten both her unit and her life.
Sorry, no info about the next episode of Ballard is available yet.
The TV show is either in vacation or waiting to start their new season. When information about future episodes becomes available, it will be posted here.
I did a massive binge. Discovered Ballard, kinda liked the 1st episode and then did all of Bosch and Bosch: Legacy.
Bosch itself was on average excellent, but it started getting harder to watch since Legacy, the change was kinda monumental and it started feeling hollow. Most of the established characters disappeared or became kinda meaningless cameos
Well said. Bosch was top notch when J.Edgar was in it.
So tricky to pinpoint exactly why shows "lose it". I'm guessing loss of chemistry/camraderie?
Probably the chemistry. Some shows just don't "feel" like they used to.

Bosch character is now just a deus ex machina that just resolves difficult plot points. Build a universe for 10 seasons and then pretty much throw it away feels kinda ass.

I did end up liking the show, but I don't totally disagree with any of the above. I think they did find more of a groove in later episodes.

I did not make it past episode 1. All the characters were awful acting.

Loved Bosch but this show is a massive struggle. Made it to ep 3 but as you say:
It did not make me care at all about any of the cases they work on or most of the characters.
...in a nutshell. I'm a hopeless judge of good or bad acting but the main woman seems utterly hopeless at the acting. Any time she is talking my mind starts wandering and I'm off to do some wordle or check discogs or some other shit......

I have not watched or but wanted to give this a shot because the premise is similar to and well...from watching the first episode it doesn't look like it can compare even in the slightest.

Anyone watched the full Season yet, is it getting better than what Episode 1 showed?
