.. and that may be a very GOOD thing, or does anyone believe "PEACOCK" could have ever managed to create a worthy/good reboot? I dont think so....
Its not just about what network, but also about who writes and who directs. Heck I am still waiting for the Babylon 5 reboot or whatever they call it. But I know it wont be the same. Loved those Amiga graphics. Our local cable station used an Amiga for their information channel. And every now and then it would crap out and display the familiar error message.
Good times, good times.
Never ever decided to watch a show based on which network produced it. Neither who the writer or director is.
Good title, good premise and maybe a decent poster. Give it a try and you'll see if it's good or bad.
I would have given this one a try even if it would've been produced by C-Span :)

The 2004 series was impressive in many ways, but using "frack" topped the cake. It made it possible to say "f**k" all they wanted, cutting through the censors barbed wire and keeping it to a TV14 rating.
I believe they used that in the original along with Felgercarb.
Felgercarb is a euphemism for "crap" in the Colonial vernacular. The appeal of the word "felgercarb" would seem to extend across the lines of culture and species, as Lucifer uses the term several times in "The Young Lords." An alternate spelling is "feldergarb"

Better be good, is this a reboot of the reboot of the original series, or a reboot of the original series?
The original series was back in the 80s.
The reboot of the original series in (2000s) was awesome and will be hard to beat.
The original was back in the 70's. In the 80's there was a spin-off.
The original TV series started end of 70s...I misremembered it as also being in 80s. I was there and watched it then! There was some other series called Galactica after that which is the spin off you're referring to.
The late 70s one (that I thought was also in 80s) looked like this:
There was the original Battlestar Gallactica Sept 17th 1978 - Apr 29th 1979 24 episodes.
Then the attempted reboot Galactica 1980 where they found earth. The scout episodes were cringe worthy the best voted episode was the last one titled Starbuck Returns, That series was filmed in 1980. January 27th 1980 to May 4th 1980 total of 10 episodes.
Thank god they never filmed a season 2. My opinion of course.
There was a lot of flak about the 2004 reboot. Especially about Starbuck being a woman, but she nailed the part. Although I think they went a bit heavy on the religion and the disappearance and re-appearance of Starbuck near the end. All in all I thought it was 4 brilliant years of Science fiction. Which we never would have had otherwise.
Little side note here. The Guy who played Apollo Richard Hatch tried for many years after to bring it back without success. Even spending large sums of his own money. But sadly he passed before his version happened.
Sorry for the rambling..
But he did get to play in the reboot and it was a pleasure to see him.
