The story is set in 43 A.D. and charts the Roman invasion of what would become Great Britain. The determined, yet terrified, Roman Imperial Army returns to crush the Celtic heart of Britannia, a mysterious land ruled by wild warrior women and powerful druids who can channel the forces of the underworld.
Well I had another look at this show. I well off it when it brought in "The dead man" and all the weird stuff but now on revisiting this changed my mind and half way through season 3. A rather crazy show but atleast things happen.
strange ending. came across as no seaon 4? If there is will have to retitle it Rome

well I have watched the first 4 eps of the 2nd series and really was bored stiff. All that fake, phony metaphysical supernatural new- age crap so tiresome. I dont know why others here find it so good. Not sure if I can make it thru the remaining eps. Shame the red head woman dead.

The funny bits are funnier than that - it's more the Monty Python school of comedy than Carry On series I think.
Like if Monty Python took the strong hallucinogenics instead of just smoking pot.
