For as long as he can remember Natsume Takashi has had the ability to see spirits called Youkai, but learned never to speak about it to anyone. After being bounced around from relative to relative he finally goes back to the village where his grandmother once lived. His grandmother also had the ability to see youkai and when he receives a book called the Yujincho or 'Book of Friends' he finally understands why he can see these spirits. His grandmother collected the spirits, and made them sign contracts and that is what is keeping them close to Natsume. Takashi finally has a purpose, to free the names of the spirits from the book. With Nyanko, a youkai trapped in the body of a 'Lucky Cat' statue, as his teacher and protector he sets out to empty the book and protect it from those who would take it's power for themselves.

Based on a manga by Kimura Tahiko serialised in Gangan Wing. Nagasumi visits his grandmother near the sea during the summer. While visiting, he goes for a swim, and drowns right after entering the water. Fortunately for him he is saved by a young mermaid. Later as he tells the story to his family, a young girl named San appears at his home and begs Nagasumi to marry her. She's followed by two large thugs and they take both him and his parents to San's home under the sea. If that wasn't strange enough, it turns out San's parents are mob bosses. Nagasumi is left with the choice of either death or marrying San. He chooses to marry a mermaid. This would likely be that, except San's father and some members of the mob are not exactly thrilled to have Nagasumi courting San and are determined to bring an end to their relationship-or him. And there is also the matter of keeping it a secret that San is a mermaid.

During the duel, Yuma is being defeated by Ryoga when the mysterious ghost of Astral appears before him, and aids him to make a comeback victory. Astral explains to Yuma that his mission is to search for his lost memories, that were scattered across the world taking the form of 99 Exceed monsters called "Numbers", and to retrieve them, he must defeat the owners of each Number monster in a duel. Yuma agrees to help him, and thus their journey together begins.

The story revolves around Riku Mikami, a 14-year old junior high school student and an admirer of famous Gunpla Diver Kyoya Kujo. He and his friends Yukio and Momoka love Gunpla and play GBN together. However, his own life changes as he meets a mysterious Gunpla Diver named Sara as strange events take place in the GBN. Now guided by his new allies, he forms their first Gunpla Diver group, embarking on epic adventures with his friends and to see who is the best fighter in the GBN world.

Yokoi often finds herself getting reluctantly interested in his games, even though they always seem to end up getting HER in trouble with the teacher!
