The Guardians

What happens when animals are in distress and can't advocate for themselves? Guardians of Rescue step in. In this all-new series, Animal Planet introduces this volunteer-run organization called Guardians of Rescue and follows its quest to help any animal in need - anywhere, anytime. The Guardians features Guardians of Rescue founder and President Rob Misseri and his dynamic team: Dori, Moose, Brian, Face, Marceline, Miss Elle, Amanda and Bill. Though they may be an eclectic team - ex-military personnel, retired police detectives, former FBI investigators, carpenters, electricians and even former convicts and gang members - they unite in their passion and dedication for animal advocacy. With this group, first impressions are not always what they seem. When an animal is in need, their tough facade washes away and clients see their true love and compassion come forth.

Alaska Proof

Alaska boasts some of the most rugged landscapes and untamed creatures on Earth; which is why the 'Last Frontier State' quenches a thirst for adventure unlike anywhere else. Alaska Distillery, located at the foothills of the Alaska Range, has what no other distillery on Earth can provide. It's a grassroots operation comprised of passionate, imaginative artists who create world-class, hand-crafted, award-winning vodkas. In the quest to harness the unique essence of Alaska into a bottle, the team - led by Founder & CEO Toby Foster and his faithful dog Hooch - explores the far reaches of the wilderness to harvest the finest exotic ingredients Mother Nature has to offer. The team takes great pride in what some would call an unconventional approach to making vodka. Their critically-lauded salmon-infused vodka makes headlines for one of the best Bloody Mary cocktails in the world. And master distiller Scott Lindquist is the only person in the world with a permit to harvest Prince William Sound's 10,000-year-old free-floating glacier ice, which produces the purest water on Earth. The team makes frequent expeditions into the wild to experiment with Arctic ice worms, caribou antlers (already shed) and fireweed honey; among countless other natural resources. Their occupational hazards include bears, poisonous plants and treacherous terrain, but to these artisans, the dangers are worth making some of the world's finest vodka.

Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters

The Rocky Mountains, scattered with more than 3,000 miles of dense forests and rocky peaks, create the perfect hideaway for fugitives on the run from the law. Project Grizzly

Veteran bear trainer Jeff Watson takes on perhaps his toughest task in more than 25 years of rescuing and raising the majestic animals. His goal - to reverse the cycle of man's ownership over animals - involves 700-pound grizzlies Bob and Screech, whom he has raised since they were six weeks old. Now, after three years, Jeff believes their destiny is to live in the wild, and "Project Grizzly" tracks the trainer's emotional struggle to undo all he has taught the bears in captivity. At a remote Indiana location, Bob and Screech must learn how to hunt, fish and hibernate, and ultimately break their dependence on a human. Unforeseen hurdles lead to some doubt, but Jeff is determined to complete this incredible, dangerous challenge.

Treetop Cat Rescue

Every day in Western Washington State, wily felines scale massive trees only to find themselves stranded high off the ground. Skilled tree climbers Shaun Sears and Tom Otto are prepared to do whatever it takes to get these cats down and reunite them with their owners. Shaun and Tom, brothers-in-law and tree arborists, run Canopy Cat Rescue, a highly skilled, two-man operation trained to climb dangerously tall trees to save desperate, stranded cats. Over the past two years, they have rescued nearly 500 kitties from treetops as high as 165 feet. Hooked in with top climbing gear, Shaun and Tom face hazards ranging from buzzing beehives, dead branches and unpredictable weather. Each cat is different, and no two rescues are ever the same. Tom and Shaun must channel their inner kitty to coax the frightened felines out of potentially climbing higher.

When boat's floorboards have long been replaced by grass and dirt, the team goes to work reinventing these disasters into fishing vessels, open water cruisers and family houseboats.
