The story of two young women sharing a flat in Liverpool in the early 1970. Although there were several cast changes during the life of the series, a posh vs common theme ran throughout. The original cast was Dawn (Pauline Collins) and Beryl Hennessey (Polly James), but Sandra Hutchinson (Nerys Hughes) replaced Dawn from Series 2 onward. Carol Boswell (Elizabeth Estensen) eventually replaced Beryl. Also notable was Mollie Sugden (Are you being Served) playing Sandra's snobbish mother. The storylines for this comedy usually revolved around the pair's troubles in their relationships with men, problems at work, and interfering families.

This strange yet unique and enchanting British Comedy is set in rural England and the manor of the spinster Miss Rose Farnaby, a cantankerous and lonely lady nearing the end of her life. Over the years a distrust has developed between Miss Farnaby and her staff of Bert and Alice Finch. Bert is the gardener and grounds keeper and his wife Alice serves as the cook and housekeeper. Even though they and Miss Farnaby grew up together at the manor, a gap has continued to widen in their relationship. Miss Farnaby, thinking that their loyalty is only an effort to insure she will leave them a good pension when she passes on, while they think she is distancing herself in order to cut them out of her will completely. Into this situation comes Mulberry, the strange and mysterious new companion for Miss Farnaby, who turns everyone's lives upside down by his wit, his manner, and his determination to "change the old routine" and make the gloomy manor a fun place to live.

"Black holes and Quasars" ...Watt On Earth was a short lived children's series as part of 'Children's BBC' and written by the 'Doctor Who' writers Jane & Pip Baker. The show starred 'Watt' (Garth Napier Jones) as an alien who came to earth to escape his evil uncle. Watt was heir to the throne on his planet and his uncle even sent his top henchman 'Jemjemah' to follow Watt to earth and terminate him. Watt landed in the English town on Haxton and be-friended 'Shaun Ruddock' (Tom Brodie) who managed to keep Watt's presence in the house a secret throughout the whole shows run. Shaun's parents ran the local newspaper the Haxton weekly and think their son is a bit of a oddball.
