Showtime Sports takes you beyond the boxing ring.
The World According to Football
Trevor Noah takes a unique look at the world through its most popular game. More than any other sport, soccer functions as a mirror to society. Sometimes that shows us the best of ourselves, other times, the very worst. Across five episodes, Noah uncovers stories from the USA, Brazil, France, Qatar and the UK, looking at players and coaches fighting against the status quo and ultimately posing the critical question: if we can reform soccer, can we reform the societies it reflects?
Supreme Team
A three-part limited docuseries that takes an in-depth look at the notorious Queens, New York gang, and tells the real story from the mouths of its two leaders and family members, Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff and Gerald "Prince" Miller.
The Paper Chase
A classroom drama focusing on students in a law school, with two main characters, the stern Contract Law professor, Charles Kingsfield, and idolizing student, James Hart. Based on the movie released in 1974.
Dirty Pair Flash
Dirty Pair Flash is related to the original Dirty Pair, with the same characters but there are some changes. Dirty Pair Flash was released later but it is something of a prequel, showing the two main characters on their first assignments. It contains animated violence and mayhem, some profanity and a small amount of nudity. The DVD release is rated 15 and up. The Pair consists of two 17-year-old junior level 'Trouble Consultants', a cross between a trouble-shooter and a secret agent. They work for an organization called World Welfare & Works Association or the 3WA which handles problems galaxy-wide. Their codename is 'Lovely Angels' but it's easy to see why they are eventually known as the Dirty Pair, not in a naughty way, but because they tend to leave ruination wherever they go. Yuri is the purple-haired and perky team member, she is occasionally zany and a bit distracted.
Reality Show
The show follows Mickey Wagner, a down-on-his-luck reality show producer, as he crafts a sensational comeback.
The Underground
This series is a reminiscent of the hit comedy sketch show of the 90's - "In Living Color". The show features recurring characters from "In Living Color", parodies of the pop culture, and the up bringing of new sketch performers.
Way Out
Showtime's reality series documents the experiences of gay people coming out to their friends and family.
Street Time
A dramatic series that ran for two seasons, focused on the lives of parole officers and the parolees who report to them. The tag that followed the show was "Welcome to Life on the Outside," easily describing the plot of this thrilling series. The lead character, Kevin Hunter (Rob Morrow) is a former smuggler, who is now on parole after being in prison for five years. Now that he has a new chance, Kevin will do his best to stay out of trouble, trying to reconcile with his wife Rachel (Michelle Nordin). However, the sins from his past will come back to haunt him, and James Liberti (Scott Cohen), Kevin's parole officer, will do his best to save Kevin.
