"The Net" is an anthology series project that aims to illuminate the darker sides of professional football in four separate, season-long stories.

The sympathetic village policeman Franz Gasperlmaier and the strict Frau Doktor Kohlross, the responsible investigator from the district police command, have to deal with often tricky murder cases in the tranquil Altaussee in Austria, with the darker side of the Altaussee postcard idyll. Gasperlmaier is supported by the post commander Friedrich Kahlß.
