The Academy Awards
The Academy Awards honors the best in the film industry. Each time, the Oscar trophies are given to honor the best films of that year. Each January, the the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences would give announce it's nominations and give out the golden statues in March. This annual events has been held since 1929.
The Emmy Awards
An annual award show that recognize achievement in television for the current year. It first aired on January 25, 1949 and has been aired annually ever since. Today, the Emmys air as the Daytime Emmy Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards.

The Academy of Country Music Awards
The Academy of Country Music Awards were first held in 1966, honoring the industry's accomplishments during the previous year. It was the first country music awards program held by a major organization. The Academy's signature "hat" trophy was created in 1968. The awards were first televised in 1972 on ABC. In 1979, the Academy joined with Dick Clark Productions to produce the show. Dick Clark and Al Schwartz served as producers while Gene Weed served as director. Under their guidance, the show moved to NBC and finally to CBS, where it remains today.[1]
In 2003, the awards show left Los Angeles and moved to Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The show is now held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The Academy also adopted a sleeker, modern version of the "hat" trophy that year, and in 2004 the organization implemented online awards voting for its professional members, becoming the first televised awards show to do so.
Critics' Choice Movie Awards
The Critics' Choice Movie Awards (formerly known as the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award) are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) to honor the finest in cinematic achievement. Written ballots are submitted during a week-long nominating period, and the resulting nominees are announced in December. The winners chosen by subsequent voting are revealed at the annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards ceremony in January. Additional, special awards are given out at the discretion of the BFCA Board of Directors.
