This toy line was pioneer by featuring action figures that were "robots in disguise". A subsequent cartoon show and a comic book series were created to support the toy line, which quickly became one of the most successful of all times. The television series was on air for 3 years, and captured the imaginations of millions of children all over the world.

The Transformers battle gets even bigger! Teams of Autobots and Decepticons combine to form giant super robots called Combiners and fight for control of the universe.

In 2010 Armada follows the latest battle in the war between the Autobots and Decepticons as the two sides race to gain the allegiance of a newly discovered race of Transformers known as Mini-Cons. Much smaller than either the regular Transformers, the Mini-Cons can connect to their large counterparts granting them new abilities. Each Mini-Con enhances the power of a Transformer exponentially. Our only chance for a peaceful cosmos is for Optimus Prime and the Autobots to defeat their enemies and free all Mini-Cons.

Transformers: Cyber Missions is an online CGI cartoon produced by TG Studios for Hasbro's web site. The stories are part of the Movie continuity. It features toys from the Revenge of the Fallen, 2010 Transformers, and Power Core Combiners toylines. The first episode aired in January 2010.
