BBC adaptation in six parts of the classic Jane Austen novel.

Doctor Thorne by Anthony Trollope is the story of Dr Thomas Thorne, who lives in the village of Greshamsbury in Barsetshire, with his beautiful niece, Mary, a girl blessed with every gift except money. Mary Thorne has grown up alongside the Gresham sisters

A series based on the books by E. F. Benson and set in the English countryside of the 1930's. The Mapp and Lucia of the title are two middle aged women who exist in a permanent state of one-upmanship with each other. Always trying to have the last word or to arrange the better garden party. In many ways this is the female version of the equally wonderful Jeeves & Wooster, it is set in the same era and they both follow the adventures of the English gentry.

From the creator of Downton Abbey. Dr. Thorne lives a quiet life with niece Mary in Greshambury, home of the wealthy Gresham family. Unbeknownst to others, the Greshams have lost their fortune and matriarch Lady Arabella has a scheme to regain it via an arranged marriage with her son and an American heiress. However, her son plans to elope with Mary, which complicates Lady Arabella's plans.
