Only one young competitor will take home the grand prize of $20,000 and a feature in Food Network Magazine. With themed challenges ranging from a Hawaiian luau to a cowboy campfire, each episode will also features some of the biggest names in barbecue, such as Tim Love and Graham Elliot serving as guest judges.

MasterChef Junior Spain is a gastronomic television program that seeks the best amateur child chef in Spain, premiered on La 1 on December 23, 2013. This is the children's version of the MasterChef Spain talent show. The talent show was conducted by Eva González until 2019, while Jordi Cruz, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera and Pepe Rodríguez are the chefs who judged the applicant's dishes. After Eva's departure, the jury assumed the leadership of the format.

Over four episodes eight children are divided into Team Rachael and Team Guy, as they compete against each other in a series of challenges, designed to test the kids' culinary know-how. In each episode, the teams participate in a pop quiz crafted to highlight their talents in the kitchen, followed by a classroom mentoring session with Rachael and Guy, and culminating in the creation of a menu plan for the Cook-Off.
