episode, two or more chefs are pitted against each other in a single challenge,
with judgment placed solely on Tom Collicchio.
Guy's Grocery Games
Four talented chefs compete in supermarket-themed cooking challenges as they must navigate their way through the aisles, adhering to "real-world" challenges of shopping on a budget, substituting out-of-stock ingredients, and cooking (and checking out) with five items or less. In the end, the food does the talking, as one-by-one the losing chefs are "bagged," and the last chef standing goes on the shopping spree of a lifetime to make big bucks.

Top Chef Canada challenges 16 competitors' culinary skills to see who can cut it as Canada's Top Chef, taking home the grand prize of $100,000 and a GE Monogram kitchen worth $30,000.
Alex vs. America

The judges have it easy on "Chopped" - the contestants have to come up with creative uses of unusual or incompatible ingredients, then the judges get to eat and critique the dishes. On "Chopped After Hours", the judges are tasked with creating dishes out of baskets filled with the same ingredients that were given to the show's contestants. It's not a competition, though, as it's a laid-back demonstration of what the judges can create. The judges taste one another's dishes when they're done.

The catch - Michael doesn't know who he is going up against and the chefs don't know Michael is coming. Hosted by comedian, actor and food podcast host Dan Ahdoot, each episode begins with the chef competitors using their intuition to choose a refrigerator based only on how it looks on the outside, with clues from the photos, magnets, calendars and art on the door. But looks can be deceiving and sometimes a bachelor pad's shelves are better stocked than the family of four, so there's always an element of surprise.
After three rounds of cooking challenges using only the mix of fresh ingredients, packaged items and leftovers from their chosen refrigerator, judges Jordan Andino and Jamika Pessoa determine which chef wins a fridge full of $10,000.
