Alice is a teenage girl who finds herself involved in the Milan's criminal underbelly for the love of her father. To cope, Alice will use her imagination, influenced by music, TV and pop culture of her time: the 80s.

Based on the same Émile Zola novel that inspired the hit series The Paradise, this Italian-language import follows Teresa Iorio, a young woman who leaves her rural Sicilian hometown for Milan. Teresa finds work-and much more-at a newly opened department store: The Ladies' Paradise.

A Southern (Italy that is) police officer moves to Milan where he finds expectations a bit different but he willingly adapts.... to everything but the corruption that he discovers in the city. After recruiting a team of young and ambitious recruits, he proceeds to apply a traditional idea of justice to the cosmopolitan residents of Milan while simultaneously adopting some of the more delightful aspects of the big city.
