The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show
Rocky and Bullwinkle began life in the 1950's television show, The Frostbite Falls Review. It was created by Jay Ward and Bill Scott. Their names in that show were Rocket J. Squirrel and Canadian Moose. The Frostbite Falls Review was not very successful so Rocky and Bullwinkle became the stars of their own show, Rocky and His Friends. The show was co-created by Alex Anderson and premiered on November 29th, 1959 on ABC. Added to the cast were Boris and Natasha, two Pottsylvanian spies. The show also featured various segments; Peabody's Improbable History, Fractured Fairy Tales, Mr. Know-It-All, and Aesop and Son. In 1961, the show moved to NBC and was renamed The Bullwinkle Show. In 1964 the creators moved the show back to ABC where it was cancelled at the end of that season. The next year the show did reappear back on ABC; Bullwinkle and Rocky were replaced by Hoppity Hooper, while the other segments remained. The show ran on ABC until 1974. Secret Squirrel Show (1966)
Secret Squirrel, a kooky spy who wore an overcoat stashed with a myriad of devices, and Morocco Mole, his sidekick, were the stars of this NBC cartoon. Secret's boss, Double Q, handed out assignments for Secret and Morocco in order for them to thwart the plans of villains such as the infamous Yellow Pinkie, their worst enemy. The show originally aired as part of "The Atom Ant / Secret Squirrel Show," briefly broke off into it's own show, the once again reunited with Atom Ant. Secret returned in 1993 when the show "2 Stupid Dogs" contained brand new Secret Squirrel shorts.
Super Secret Secret Squirrel (1993)
A new take on the classic Secret Squirrel series, this incarnation takes Secret and Morocco Mole through a series of adventures fighting villains, ranging from a Queen Bee to a Quark. Secret and Morocco use their gadgets, Secret's skills and Morocco's clumsiness to triumph.
This show-within-a-show ran during the series 2 Stupid Dogs. However, even though they shared the same time slot the series were unrelated to each other in theme and topic.
