Following the elimination of Japan's national team from the 2018 Soccer World Cup, the country's federation decides to start a training program to prepare a team of high school students, who will participate in the 2022 World Cup. Isagi Yoichi, a forward , receives an invitation to join this program after his team's failed attempt to reach Nationals, due to passing the ball to his teammate, who missed the shot, instead of scoring himself. The training coordinator, Ego Jinpachi, intends to put an end to the idea of "weak Japan in soccer" by applying a new regime, which consists of isolating 300 young strikers in a prison-like institution called "Blue Lock". There they are subjected to rigorous training with the aim of increasing their individualism and creating the best striker in the world.

Dani and the other EMTs in training are courageous, everyday heroes. But with only one opening for three trainees, Dani's faith in herself is tested each and every call. Dani believes her calling is to save lives. Now, she has to prove it.

The series revolves around a secret Mossad compound called 'HaMidrasha', which is surrounded by surveillance cameras and is equipped with technological devices. The compound operates a training course in which 13 trainees are sent to complicated missions in order to test their suitability for the occupation, and their improvisation, seduction and impersonation abilities. Yonna, the commander of the course, criticizes the mediocrity of Mossad's agents and demands from the new trainees a higher level of execution. He decides to create a new training program to test his trainees via unusual and radical situations, in which, apart from excellence, Yonna demands a creative "out of the box" thinking.

For the first time in its history, a camera crew has exclusive access to the extremely tough selection process for new members, which lasts for more than 7 months. Hundreds of applicants start and only a few will end up passing the tests necessary to become GEO members. In each chapter the progress of this group of aspirants will be followed, delving into their personal history, their reactions to harsh trials and their transformation through a process that will put their physical and mental capacities to the limit. Subjected to extreme stress, deprived of sleep and exposed to unbearable conditions, applicants will have to overcome their worst fears to be prepared for what may lie ahead.
