When a cute preschool educational television show is invaded by an unknown corruption, its main character Pibby has to escape to different animated programs as the mysterious entity transforms the characters it captures into possessed creatures. Along the way, Pibby teams up with two characters - a cliché superhero sidekick, Alloy Boy, and a Disney-like villainess, Melira. Although none of them are traditional heroes, they have to learn to work together to save the cartoon worlds from the apocalypse.
