Password is a reboot of the 1960s game show in which two teams, composed of a celebrity player and a contestant, attempt to convey mystery words to each other using only single-word clues in order to win a cash prize.
$100,000 Pyramid
In $100,000 Pyramid, contestants are in teams of two. The goal of the game is to help your partner guess an answer, by listing items that would be included in said answer, or synonymous. For instance, if the answer is "Things That Bounce", clues would be "Po-Go Sticks", "Kangaroos", "Basketballs", etc. To add to the challenge, the contestant who is giving the clues has their hands strapped to their chair, so they're unable to gesture in order to help the guessing process. The show is hosted by Michael Strahan.
Wheel of Fortune (US)
Contestants guess hidden phrases by guessing letters one at a time. Contestants win money or prizes, as determined by a spin of the wheel, for each correct consonant they guess. But they have to pay to see what vowels are in a puzzle. The contestant that has amassed the most winnings at the end of a game goes on to play the bonus round, in which the player can win even more - prizes frequently seen in the bonus round include automobiles, vacations and more cash.
Lingo (2023)
A high-stakes solve-the-puzzle competition, Lingo pits teams of two in multiple fast-paced rounds of guessing letters that in turn reveal seemingly simple words. The winning teams of these early rounds then go head-to-head in a nerve-wracking and unpredictable showdown. It all spells out TV's newest word-based competition sensation, in which anyone's H-U-N-C-H can mean someone's cash P-R-I-Z-E.
Scrabble
Scrabble is a captivating, fast-paced take on the global board-game phenomenon. In each episode, wordsmiths battle it out playing a series of addictive, word-based games to win points and add words to a giant SCRABBLE board in the center of the set.
25 Words or Less
25 Words or Less includes two teams comprised of celebrities and civilians against each other in a fast-paced word game with a top prize of $10,000. In the beginning rounds of the game, after a frenzied bidding session, one team member provides clues to two partners to help them guess a list of five words using fewer than 25 clue words. In the final round, the contestant who has earned the most points has 60 seconds to get his partners to guess 10 words using only 25 words or less.
Countdown
The show in which two contestants engage in a battle of wits, competing against the clock in games of lexical dexterity and numerical agility.
Lingo
Three teams are pitted against each other in a battle to find words. With each round the stakes become higher and the prize money escalates. Tactics are paramount - if a team cannot find a word there are opportunities for their opponents to swoop in and claim the word and the money. Only one pair makes it to the End Game, where they can double their prize pot - however, if words fail them, they could lose everything and leave empty handed.
Catchphrase
Stephen Mulhern hosts a brand new contemporary remake of the iconic 80s gameshow, where two contestants have to identify a familiar catchphrase from an animation clip.
Chain Reaction (2021)
Chain Reaction features two teams competing against one another to complete chains of words, after the first and last words of the chain are revealed. Each word in the chain is related in some way to the word directly above and below it. By making inferences based on the revealed words and the revealed letters in incomplete words, contestants try to fill in the word chains to win money.
