The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina reimagines the origin & adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. This adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature - half-witch, half-mortal - while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.
well all good things come to an end. I think it had just about done all that needed to be done so a few more episodes will will be welcome then thats it. It could have ended where it was. Too many shows just go on and on, defintely true for films eg Alien Covenant was the wrong sequel to Prometheus. Its an American disease I think to milk money from the punters? Supergirl is going that way ( Supergirl without tights I dont think so) Legends also ( how much light hearted nonsense can you take?) The Flash getting that way. Thank goodness Arrow has gone how much gloom can you take? ( though I feel sorry for Felicity having to endure eternity with him)

'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' Canceled at Netflix, Part Four to Premiere Later in 2020
Netflix and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa made the announcement on Wednesday night.
“Working on 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' has been an incredible honor from day one. The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone's favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show,” said Aguirre-Sacasa. “I'm also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can't wait for everyone to see Part Four.”
“The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” was originally developed at The CW as a companion series to “Riverdale,” but was moved to Netflix with part one released in 2018.
The cancellation news comes after fellow “Riverdale” spinoff “Katy Keene” was canceled last week after one season.
The show's Twitter account also released several images from the upcoming final part.
I still haven't watched the last 8 episodes - with all the other great shows out there, Sabrina somehow lost some of its appeal. According to merc_1 I should watch them some day, but I'm not really sad to learn that the show will end. :)

Well the 2nd season ( or is it 3rd I wish they would stop their confusing naming) is here and quite impressive it is. I had my doubts whether there could be any real follow up but the writers did a good job. I still have 2 eps of the 8 to watch( hard to stop watching). How long before the 4th season or what ever they call it? There was it seems even an unwitting? reference to a famous gag from the Life of Brian.
I have now finished the 8 eps and a nice ending to set things up for trouble to come I now under stand the royal "we"

It's in the style of Bewitched! and The Addams Family (some dark humour and comedy centred around magic) - 1960s style TV almost. It just gets a little darker than the 60s allowed.
"A little" darker, yes. :D
Well yes, on a scale of Bewitched! to say Cannibal Holocaust, it gets a "little" darker ;)

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 1 debuted in late 2018 and season 2 released in April 2019 (though it was officially considered part 2 of season 1). And now, almost a year later, season 3 is releasing on Netflix.

its much much darker - eg Sabrina floating in the air with the crown of thorns harks back to another figure? and when the high priest welcomes his only begotten son after his birth.....
Bewicthed and Addams were tame by comparison and never invoked such inversions? if anything it compares to the life of Brien and remember the hoha that precipitated? I am surprised that evangelicals in the USA haven't condemned it ? or maybe they just don't know about it?
EDIT: please use spoiler tags!

yes a bit hurried at the end and some of the satanic inversions of christian language must have raised a few eyebrows. I cant help but wonder whether season 2 will be an anti climax?

Just noticed this show had no forum thread! It's a cool show. Some of the drama was not to my liking, but I've enjoyed the show's humor, the costumes and set design, most of the acting, and the (little bit of) gore. :)
