TV Series created by Mark Bomback

A reclusive journalist's self-imposed exile in the woods is upended when his long-estranged grandchildren arrive on his doorstep after their mother disappears. When the children are kidnapped by a cult connected to their father, Rhys must re-enter the fractured world he abandoned.

Defending Jacob is a gripping, character-driven thriller based on William Landay's 2012 novel published by Random House. The book tells the story of a father dealing with the accusation that his son is a 14-year-old murderer.
