The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo will not be a sequel or continuation of the story from the books or the films into which they were adapted. It will instead take Salander and place her in today's world with a wholly new setting, new characters, and a new story.

Based on the Marvel Comic Spider-Man Noir, NOIR tell the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city's one and only superhero.

First appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #129, The Punisher is the alter ego of military veteran Frank Castle, who wages a one-man war against crime after his wife and children are killed during a shootout by rival mob outfits. The character's belief in killing criminals rather than apprehending them frequently puts him at odds with Marvel's traditional heroes.
