Under mysterious circumstances, 17-year-old Anna and her mother, Eva, suddenly move from the jet set life in China back to Eva's small childhood town in Denmark. They move in with Eva's brother, Christian, who hospitably opens the doors. But beneath the surface lurk old grudges and inflamed family relationships, which have unfathomable consequences for Anna and her secretive mother.
