Hello Orlando:
I'm confused. You wrote positively about Downton Abbey but are now so angry.
I agree with your original comments. I love the program and the cast. Looking forward to the next season.

A arystocratic family in the beginning of the XX century, but it depicts the live of the whole house, from the Lord of the house to the staff and shows the social 'boundries' represented in those times. Every character has it's own personality and is not just a 'background' character. The story is very believeable and addictive, like every good story should be. :)
I expect, that after recieving Emmy awards, more people will check it out.

hmm the show won a lot of Emmy's in the mini-series category so I thought this was a one off...I guess British shows can get nominated for Emmy's but only in that one category.
What's the show about?

really liked the first season, waiting for the second season to air on swedish tv
Downton Abbey depicts the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the post-Edwardian era—with great events in history having an effect on their lives and on the British social hierarchy.
Anyone else watches this british periodic drama? It has brilliant writing with characters so brightly and perfectly drawn, that most other shows could nowadays could only dream of. The cast is as well brilliant, 'specially Maggy Smith makes me smile. I personally love this show and I'm immersed in each single episode. :) Just watched the premiere of the second series, still as good, as it was before.
