Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts. This is their story.
The premise feels a bit weak, at some point Wakanda should think about tightening up security - most of the stories we had about Wakanda and Black Panther were about people stealing their stuff. With their level of technology they should be able to prevent that from happening... :)
But anyways, another animated series containing short stories - I really like the format. It does give you new characters in a world you like without the capability to screw up too much of the existing lore...well 3/4 on that one at least...
The animation of the world and sceneries (some of which even look hand-drawn) looks great... but the character animation feels cheap and bland.
The stories are ok, solid but nothing mind-blowing either.
Main characters are the same, just "ok".
My favorite episode was 3 because it didn't take itself as serious as the others.
First story didn't make much sense to me.
So Wakanda already sent multiple people to retrive the Lion and they all failed...the natural next step is of course to send a drop-out from the Dora Milaje...ugh - How about sending a team instead of one single person after another??
In the second story Memnon was definitely the bad guy...betraying and killing his friend over a gem?
Episode 3...I get that Wakanda was highly advanced but this level of technology 3400 years ago...c'mon
It did gave us a decent Iron First though...those 28mins gave us a better version of that character than all 23 episodes of :)
Episode 4... so just to be clear, if Killmonger wasn't able to steal the axe and get Black Panther + Wakanda introduced to the world, the entire rest of the MCU wouldn't stand a chance against the Horde?
