Every Thursday. 9pm. Tom and Evie watch a film together in her garage. Evie lovingly decorates the space to match the film of the week - from a yellow brick road for The Wizard of Oz to a space craft for Alien. It's magical. They're there for the love of the movies. Or at least, that's what they tell themselves.
Sorry, no info about the next episode of Film Club is available yet.
The TV show is either in vacation or waiting to start their new season. When information about future episodes becomes available, it will be posted here.
The premise got completely lost towards the end, but since that wasn't what kept me watching, that's ok...which is still sad since it had a lot of potential.
The focus was always put on the romance which took over the entire show towards the end...the conclusion though didn't feel very satisfying to watch.
As I mentioned before I really like the characters and their interactions. They are quick-witted, fun and well written. I think my favorite character was the Mother.
I don't think it will have another season though which I am OK with.

I quite enjoyed it.
It's not something you need to think about.

I like it, but not for what it's supposed to be....the whole "Film Club" theme is completely run into the ground.
I imagined them using the weekly film to immerse themselves into the story / fictional world and deal with the current issue in the way the story would've done. I even expected clips from the movies to state their famous quotes....something like that.
This is not it, apart from some preparation and cosplay the films are barely part of the story. Really disappointing.
On the other hand it does pretty good on the characters and their emotional issues and how they are dealt with. Especially Evie's story and acceptance + support of friends & family is done pretty well imho. Alone for that, I am going to keep watching.
