Thanks! I'll check it out when I have the time, then :)

Yes, it does play out like a miniseries, with lots of enticing hints about plot lines that would have played out had there been more seasons. But it was done in such a way that the one season has a beginning, middle and end (thanks to flashback and flashforwards.)

I think it is worth watching, even when knowing that it is cancelled.
The season ends with giving some answers and a couple more questions.
Not questions as in hearing a shot and not knowing if somebody is killed more like you see the Golden Boy in the future but wonder what happened to his dead stuffed dog in his office. (Not a spoiler, he doesn't have a dog! :))

I'm not sure I haven't brought myself to watch the last two episodes knowing it's cancelled. It's a really decent show I think.

Does it have a cliffhanger-ending? Or an unsatisfying ending? Is it worth watching even though it's cancelled?

Because anything that breaks the mold never gets enough time to find an audience. People tune in expecting same old thing and when they see a show doing something different they turn away. The people who thought it was the same old thing don't tune in at first and by the time they would give it a shot, its already to late.
I think if USA Network aired this show or another cable show it would have been better. The Audience would have been 4mil half of what it's getting, but that would be good for cable. It would get renewed and with time grow increasing it's viewing audience.

Quality doesn't matter. Ratings are all there is.
