Hell on Wheels will follow the story of Cullen Bohannan, a southern soldier who heads west to avenge the death of his wife, murdered by Union soldiers. In the wake of Reconstruction, he travels to the work site of the Transcontinental Railroad, tracking his wife's killers along the way.
Overall a good show, and one I will miss, even if the last season was so patchy they would have done better to condense it into 7 episodes instead of 14.

So I recently caught up with the first half of the last season and I enjoyed it. I'm glad they finally featured Chinese immigrants and handled it well. I'll be sad to see it go next year, but at least it'll go out on a high mark.
It has been a good run, but it has struggled to maintain momentum this year. The narrative seems to meander a bit from big set piece to big set piece. Too much filler and the supporting characters are now so separated by both distance and events that the disparate sub-plot threads have little relevance to each other anymore.

It's typical behaviour. I mean, look at the fans of BrBa when it was at its peak. Those were some unbearable cunts.

I remember pointing this show out to a lot of my friends during season one. I told them back then that this show is something special and it will last beyond three seasons. Most of them didn't echo my sentiments at the time and now four years later those same people claim to be bigger fans than me.

And I thought 4x07 was heartbreaking...

The show is still pretty high on my watch list, but I am glad they are not dragging it out too much.

heh, at least they'll wrap it up. I think it's getting a bit old.
