I wouldn't call it a movie, it was more like a two-episode pilot to the tv show.
That is to say as a standalone, it was mediocre at best and did not convince me to watch the show.
As for why, I guess the biggest issue I had was that the "movie" failed to make me feel the intensity of the situation.
So as long as the show isn't a whole lot better than the movie (opinions, anyone?), I am going to skip this show.

Trailer for the show looks kind of generic, but I am going to give the movie a try...maybe it convinces me :)

I like the concept, but the IMDb ratings for the movie and the show are not high enough for me to start watching. :)
