Haven't watched the pilot just yet, but Hilary Duff? I'm turned off even before having watched it.

If I recall, NPH pulled me into HIMYM originally, then the rest of the cast proved their chops. And we got the brilliant Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill - Hubba Hubba) out of it.

Edit: Watched the two episodes last night, was thoroughly disappointed. Not sure if I'm going to continue with this for much longer.

Yes, this'll become clear at the end of the 1st episode.

They say that it is a re-imagination/stand-alone-sequel of the original but there is a tie-in.

I just watched the 2014 HIMYDad pilot, I felt that it was better.

Sometimes shows are so bad that you are curious how exactly bad it will get :D

I don't know how any of you were able to suffer through the first minute??? It's bad beyond all reason. What confuses me is that there are producers out there who thought this was funny and ready to air? Nothing landed. So cringe.

No, a cheap diverse knock-off with a mandatory lesbian, who also is the most funny character there - but just because the rest of them are not funny at all :D Maybe will watch a couple more episodes, but I suspect this with become insufferable fast.

haha, after scrolling a while imdb reviews, this is from the first positive one

I born in 1997 which makes me Gen Z. I actually love this show! I think I like this show more than How I met your mother. I can related every references like Epic Fail, Youtube trending, and dating apps. I don't have social media and dating apps but I know those things.

That's exactly how it feels - for a dumber generation :D Plus a laughing track just in case.
