This show is garbage. Avoid.

Ironheart is to Marvel what the Acolyte is to Star Wars.

Besides that it was plain bad. What struck me was the casting choices they made. Wont go further but it was really kinda alienating me.

I watched all 6 episodes. I must have been high. It was horrible.

And just to check and see if it was me, I logged into IMDB and read the reviews.

The reviews were more entertaining than the 6 episodes. And man did they not hold back on anything.

Save yourself some time. Don't watch this toilet water. Save your time and read the reviews.

This thing was so bad they compared it to what the Acolyte did to star wars.

Episodes 4 - 6...well they were no improvement to the previous episodes but it also didn't get any worse. Probably some of the worst character-development I have seen. The story "meh".

2/5 will be my rating.

Was I right about it being a
villain arc? Making a deal with the devil kinda feels like it.

How dare you not like it!! Racist!

Riri: I only do this because I have to...

No! No she doesn't - she is doing it to get money for her suit...that is not something you have to do.

She did get every opportunity she deserved in the school she was at in the beginning. They even tailor-made her study courses for her... but no she couldn't follow the rules and respect boundaries...

They even gave her a grant to build the prototype and use what apparently was an AI provided by the school...she literally had been giving everything she could've asked for - and she decided to become a criminal, no circumstance or person forced her into it.

I think that was the point of the scene? Like, she's not actually struggling just because she's not getting opportunities but actually mostly because she's constantly making bad decisions? The Iron Man films weren't so much about building the suits as they were about becoming less of an asshole. That may be what they were trying to do here as well...

If that is the case than we have once again a show that managed to write it so that she comes across very unlikeable. Every bad decision she made so far wasn't necessary. If every decision she makes is bad, what's the point?

Her character ark is basically the same as Spiderman and they managed to make him one of the most loveable characters in the MCU...and that from the very first moment we saw him. He made bad decisions as well, as seen in every MCU Spider-Man movie, but there it was always a learning-curve as it should be for a superhero.

Here it doesn't feel like that at all. At the very least, in the next few episodes, she has to take responsibililty for her actions. If that doesn't happen the show is done for me.

On another note:

Where does Natalie's voice come from in hologram-form? Shouldn't it be coming from the suit? And then again when she is transferred to the necklace? It sounds like it's coming from the hologram itself.
And if the necklace is the projector how does it work when Riri is not facing Natalie?

Let's just make a blanket statement that all the tech stuff on the show appears to be bullshit and leave it at that? Seems easier that way.

Agreed - still fun to point out though :)

Well, it's just that a lot of people have noticed that whenever a show or film doesn't at least hit a 2 out of 3 on the "straight white male" list of protagonist attributes, there seem to be a lot of people commenting on it with unspecific statements like "the acting and story were terrible". Most of them never really elaborate, and get weirdly angry when you ask them to. They also usually really love to put the word "agenda" into their posts for some reason. Call that what you want.

Nobody was going to accuse davejo90 of racism, because that post actually explains the reasoning rather well, and in fact only states personal preference rather than pretending to be observation.

Will keep watching for now. Marvel has pumped out much worse lately, I think.
