Kir Royal (From the Life of a Gossip Reporter) is a six-part television series by Helmut Dietl from 1986. It is a parody of the Munich Abendzeitung, her gossip reporter Michael Graeter and the editor Anneliese Friedmann. The series about the boulevard reporter Baby Schimmerlos plays in the Munich Schickeria of the 1980s. The series is named after the then popular aperitif Kir Royal.
