Continuing the tradition of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, the story of the next generation of supernatural beings at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. Klaus Mikaelson's daughter, 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson; Alaric Saltzman's twins, Lizzie and Josie Saltzman; and other young adults come of age in the most unconventional way possible, nurtured to be their best selves...in spite of their worst impulses. Will these young witches, vampires and werewolves become the heroes they want to be - or the villains they were born to be?
what was amusing about the last season was the gods and the name they gave to the king god "Ken", and the hippie god, very droll
What distinguished this show was they chose actors who were not only good looking but projected those looks in a winning way, unlike eg the Flash where the only actor who had that charm was Harrison Wells and when he left the show felt flat?

Yeah, the first time in over a decade a TVD/Vervainverse series won't be on TV...
But at least the folks over at LEGACIES were pretty sure they were going to be canceled in the Great CW Purge of 2022 so they were able to set up much of the last part of this season to be a finale and Julie Plec is already working on some interesting new projects.
But I'm sad too... I haven't even watched the last Ep because of how annoyed I am that it's over =(
LEGACIES, to me, felt more like an X-Mencome-to-life sort of thing in a way no other live-action MARVEL licensed movies or series have ever been able to capture... and I was down from Ep 1 not knowing a thing about the 'verse I had just stepped into... so enthralled was I, before I knew it, I had watched 263 Eps of other TV series just to get a better understanding of the universe LEGACIES existed in Lockdown helped with, you know, the lots of time part].
At least I still have the three novels Julie penned for the ORIGINALS on my shelf to eventually read... so it's not over yet... not for me anyways... and really, how long before the Vervainverse returns

so Legacies is over. Some one reported here that eps 20 of season 4 was just a season end. I dont believe it, they must have known it was the series end as the eps finaly resolves the Hope-Landon on-off relationship, Hope's dad troubles & ties up loose ends, the old guard leaves for pastures new, we get a foresight who will finally take over and we we are left with a good feeling of a happy future. The Hope-Landon soln was a good one since as a tribred she was immortal and Landon as the Limbo ferryman was also - but at a cost of his emotions becoming dulled so even at the end there was the lack of consumation

Glad to hear it's moving away from the Hope/Landon thing though as that was getting really repetitive.
I 1000% don't believe they're moving away from Hope/Landon... Hell, IMO they've barely begun... Hope & Landon are the Scott & Jean of this series ain't no way Landon isn't coming back... on top of which I believe that his resurrection will lead to Hope's humanity and even Ric's recovery, X-Men Style! That's the story I can't wait to see the students of The Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted fight their way through!
well that will be when I stop watching the show. There used to be monsters not any more since that mud man appeared.

This is one of the shows I neither like enough nor hate enough to watch week to week so I'm only caught up to the end of last season. Glad to hear it's moving away from the Hope/Landon thing though as that was getting really repetitive.

This is one of my very favorite shows on right now... also nothing comes closer to the X-Men as a live-action TV series (if in the fantasy realm, here) and it's DarkHopeSaga time y'all
I got so into this series in S1 not knowing of the larger world it spun-off from but I enjoyed Legacies so much that I went backed and watched The Vampire Diaries as well as The Originals to find out where it all started!
FYI The Originals was 100% worth it, TVD not so much!

Now on season 4. The last 2 seasons have been a bit off as they seem to be obsessed with the love life of Hope Mikaelson and Landon Kirby and their trials and tribulations. It was getting so obsessive to be quite puke worthy.
in season 4 sweet Hope goes bad and Landon is dead ( at least for the moment) thigs are looking up
