The show based on 2011 Bradley Cooper thriller, picks up where the movie left off and follows Brian Sinclair as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT, and is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI.
Loving it! I like the main characters. Great to see Jennifer Carpenter in action again. She is such a great actress! I'm sure this show has some evolving to do, but so far I like it a lot. Better after a pilot+ than some shows after a half or whole new season. Hopefully this show will get the chance to be great!

I am liking it so far, yes there are areas it could improve on but 3 episodes have got better each time so have hopes the season will continue to grow

There is just so much to like in this one, i will focus on the flaws i found watching it.
Im hungry...because i watched the show instead of going out and get supplies...

The pilot had a little bit too much 'arrow' or 'flash' aftertaste...
More of a "let's make some cheap money and milk some movie for cash"-serie?
I'll probably watch it though: I'm just curious how the plot will evolve.

I vaguely remember the movie, which was not terribly impressive but at least good enough to watch the whole thing. The TV show version shows signs of learning from the weaknesses of the movie (which did at least turn a profit). They appear to be combining the "consulting detective" angle with the longer story arc about where NZT came from and where it is going. That could work. Agree that the cast is good. I liked the work Carpenter did on Dexter. It was a tough role she handled well.

I liked the pilot, but I agree with Bebh. If it turns into a weekly "solving crime with NZT"-show, I will probably dump it.

Yeah making things cop shows is too easy. I'll keep watching this because it did seem to have something the other cop shows don't have...but the pilot episode doesn't really show him in day to day mode working with the cops (so the pilot wasn't really so much about the cop side of things), and when he does that could get old.
What I did like was how he worked things out, sort of planning ahead a few steps into the future (showing outcomes) - that's quite interesting. It also has a few "how to" instructionals and Macgyver type stuff, which is also fun. I think it's also the way they present this stuff - they seem to have a stylish designer team there making the overlays.
It's a good one so far.
lol's
How was there nobody on the production team that spotted that?!
This blunder made me chuckle, though
