Daniel Rand is the son of Wendell Rand, who had, as a youth, visited the mystic city of K'un-Lun, which materialized in the Himalayas once a decade; founded roughly a million years ago by extraterrestrials, K'un-Lun was co-ruled by the aliens' descendants and powerful beings called the Dragon Kings, who were themselves subject to the godlike sorcerer Master Khan. Rand had saved the life of K'un-Lun's ruler Lord Tuan, who adopted Rand as his heir, to the resentment of Tuan's son, Yu-Ti.
I'm pretty sure you can, He was show runner, writer and exec. producer of it. It seems Marvel and Netflix weren't impressed with the job he did on the 1st Iron Fist either. He didn't stand down, he was "removed".
His track record is not good. Besides The Inhumans & Iron Fist, he also was show runner for the last 3 seasons of Dexter that saw that formerly addictive show nose dive through mediocrity and on to cancellation.

Season 2 of Iron Fist sees showrunner Scott Buck (also responsible for the execrable The Inhumans) replaced by Raven Metzner, who was showrunner & writer for Six Degrees, Clue, Falling Skies and Sleepy Hollow.
Metzner will also be writing the second season of Iron Fist, so maybe we will get a better show this time around.

I shouldnt judge a series after its pilot when i still liked iron fist.
Took me ages to finish the season and it was as boring as luke cage was, maybe even more so.

I am seeing on the Site "Next episode" that this show has been cancelled but other sites I am on are saying nothing has anyone heard anything?
Overall I enjoyed it but it wasn't "great". I didn't make it all the way through Luke Cage so I guess that means I enjoyed it more than that one.
I dont know anything abut the character but for a zen master, he doesn't really seem to be in control of himself or his emotions? Maybe that is part of who he is in the comics?
The main thing I was disappointed with was the quality (lack of) in the fight scenes....Daredevil was so much better than this its not funny and surely the actor playing Danny could have hit the gym....the guy looks as soft as my 4 week old baby...again, the guy playing Daredevil looks the part.
Not hating on it, but it should have been better.

Weakest link in the Netflix-Marvel partnership yet. Seems just a bit too "wait for the defenders" for my taste. Too messy, to many angles going at the same time, to many plot twists to make one really care.
Plus, I particularly did not like the way the handled Danny's personality, he does not sound or act as someone who spent 15 years training as a zen-kung-fu-master. It should have been a bit more mystical too.

Yes.
Let's hope Defenders is better. If the Superhero team adopt their uniforms, Danny's fight scenes could be done by a stunt man.
