Max Headroom is a look into the future. Society is run-down and dominated by televisin and large corporations. Edison Carter is an intrepid investigative TV reporter intend on exposing corruption and greed with the help of his colleagues and a computerized version of himself.
Max Headroom was cool back in the day, but it wasn't just a TV show, it made it to a movie and a computer game.

Sorry - you are very wrong!!! Don't confuse the WWW with the internet - which is nowadays almost equivalent! The internet basically evolved from military networks in the 60's true, but the WWW - as we use it today with HTTP - was a proposal by Tim Berners-Lee in 1990. And Max Headroom season 2 aired 1987 :P
I was under the impression that Al Gore created the "Internets" :cool:

Indeed, think of the internet as a large box. The WWW is only a small item within that box. Other item in that box include Email, P2P traffic and FTP - to name just a few.

This series ended probably longer ago than most of our fellow members have lived, but I think it deserves at least a topic to discuss it. IIRC back in the days virtual Max was even featured as moderator on MTV :)
Maybe you want to catch up with the two seasons of 6 and 8 episodes. You don't need to search on your attic for old VHS tapes you can nowadays even get this as DVDRip ;)
