Set in Bath, two feature-length films pair the wildly ambitious DCI McDonald with the shy, modest DS Dodds. While McDonald has transferred from the mean streets of South London to leap up the career ladder, Dodds has happily languished on the shelf for most of his working life. McDonald is a tough, driven, battering ram of a cop who cracks cases through sheer force of will; Dodds - the tortoise to her hare - is quiet, unassuming and enigmatic. But thrust back into frontline action for the first time in a decade, he discovers a hidden talent for deciphering puzzles.
Two contemporary Britons, seemingly with nothing in common, thrown together, boss McDonald and loyal sidekick Dodds forge a rumbustious, entertaining and ultimately - give or take a few setbacks - effective partnership.
Sorry, no info about the next episode of McDonald & Dodds is available yet.
The TV show is either in vacation or waiting to start their new season. When information about future episodes becomes available, it will be posted here.
If you're a fan of British Whodunnits, you'll be very pleased with this show. The main characters mesh well, the plots are very good and there's a lot of quick banter among the characters. The Brokenwood Mysteries is very light and airy with quirky humor. I love the show.

Can anyone explain the difference between season 2 episode 3 and season 3 episode 3. Are they in fact not the exact same thing?

merc, I don't watch reality tv. Never cared for it. I enjoy this show, just like I (really enjoy) Death in Paradise. It's the characters and the drama. It's fiction.
Anyway, sorry you feel the way you do about it but then again it's ok.

Yes, it's yet another murder mystery series. It doesn't mean it's rubbish, it's a good pommy show with just the right amount of humour, likeable main characters and a plot that's not as predictable as most shows in this genre.

groan more cops and robbers. The UK Daily Telegraph recently did an article on how many crimes are unsolved, you could put your postcode in and you would get the data for burglarys, cycle theft, robbery, personal theft incl pickpocketing and the data is pretty damning eg
Lambeth London UNSOLVED CRIMES- Robbery 93%, Burglary 93%, Cycle theft 98%, Personal theft 99%, These numbers were similar all around the UK
The Met Police recently did a promotion video that showed them doing all sort of exciting things that belies the truth of their inactivty, or maybe it was truthful ie they are not here to solve mundane crimes that affect most of us that we care about
So pass on more of this false pap from the media makers. The only time I see cops in London are out side Embassies or screaming around with sirens blasting ( no doubt wanting to get back to base to sign off their shift).
There was a recent example of a burglary in the UK where the lady found the burlgar was laying on her couch stoned out of his mind. The Lady phoned the cops and they suggested she asked him nicely to leave the property, they were not going to visit.
ps if you want to see how it used to be/should be watch the very old film "The Blue Lamp"
