Merrie Melodies, also known as Animated Fantasies of Yesterday and Today, is the name of an animated series distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures between 1931 and 1969. Originally produced by Harman-Ising Pictures, the series was later produced by Leon Schlesinger. Productions until 1944, when Schlesinger sold his studio to Warner. The Warner Bros. Cartoons studio continued to produce the series until 1964. Merrie Melodies was transferred to DePatie-Freleng Enterprises from 1964 to 1967, and Warner Bros. Cartoons resumed production for the last two years of the series.
