The four-part "Murder on the Inca Trail" is based on a true case and begins in 1997, when the murder of German tourist Ursula Glück in the Peruvian Andes raises mysteries and becomes one of the most difficult and extensive investigations in German criminal history. On the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, 34-year-old Ursula Glück is shot dead in her tent at night. Her husband Jona Kepler has to give evidence to the police in Munich. When police inspector Rita Berg questions him, she has an initial suspicion.
