While we're on the short-animations-that-won-an-Oscar theme,
here's another one of my favorites. This one's even older - '97,
but I think you'll enjoy it even more than the last ...
(Arashi gets the credit for reminding me about it)
It's not that of a news thing, and has been around since like 2004, but if you haven't seen it ...
It's a short animation movie, that (if I remember correctly) won an Oscar back in the day ... Anywho, enjoy!
Tonight I'm finally gonna add the feature for the site to have
canceled/ended shows so you can use 'em in your "stuff to watch"
system. I also wanna add a "profile" kinda feature. Please tell me
what ya think about that? (for example, the nicknames in comments
would be clickable, and if you click it, there'll be a list of the
shows that this person watches ...) Probably a messaging system also?
btw1 - some user suggested I show you this (it's not half bad) ...
JUMP n' MOVE n' JUMP n' MOVE n' STOP!!
btw2 - V still sux :)
I found out what was wrong with the stuff to watch.
Now noone should have the problem of his settings not
being remembered by the site (flat/tree view that is).
Oh, and another thing - yesterday I went to see "V for Vendetta".
Don't repeat my mistake - don't go anywhere NEAR that movie ...
Tv.com did a layout change recently, which messed up the gathering
of the episodes schedules, big time. As tv.com is still the most
accurate and up to date source for this info, I'm trying to
adjust the next-episode.net scrips so they can gather the info
from the new layout.
There is a huge problem though.
They've removed the season/episode number info from the episode listing.
And now, there's only a Prod # (which I can't quite get the meaning of).
So, for some shows (like Lost), the Prod # is something meaningful
(for example "101" - representing season 1, episode 1), while for
others (like Invasion) the Prod # is something strange like "2T6951".
I'm kinda hoping someone will come up with an idea on how to bypass this problem?
The only solution I came up with is to go through every single show, every season,
and every episode and get the season/episode# info from there.
Unfortunately, although this will be done automatically, it has to be done at least
once a day (so the series info will be up to date) and it will take huuuuuuuuge
amount of time (and bandwidth on my server).
Any ideas? A way to switch back to old tv.com's layout
(with the season and episode # in the episodes_listing) ?
So I'm supposed to update this thing again 'cause Santah's acting like he's busy. All he's actually doing is exploring the deepest caverns of his nose. No, really.
Anyway, here's something funny I stumbled on the other day. It's not of the OMGWTF quality, but I laughed when I saw it the first time. I don't want to spoil it, so we'll continue in the comments. DON'T CLICK THEM before you see it :)
Between Choco Party, Darth Vader, Crazy-S&M-dude, the Soda Jetpack and this I am know convinced Japanese television is the greatest thing ever. Let's all say it together now: Pi-ta Kora So Ichiiiii.
ps: Give it time, by the third one you'd be hooked.
pss: Let's hope I get the link right the first time :))
I've updated the "Stuff to watch" section a bit (thanks to the quick and professional
help that Crazyguy gave me). Now you have a tree view for your
unwatched stuff, so if the list is very long - it won't be an issue anymore.
In other news, as the headline suggests, I have to say something about Paris,
and it's not the city .... so ... there .. OMFG!
Thanks to our friend Wizard, I now know, that they went even further than making jumping cars, although the technology behind this might be very interesting so it's not all that bad ...
And yeah, it deserves a big fat OMG! ;)
