Wed Mar 18, 2015 - Next Episode 3.2 for Android and iPhone

Update of the mobile app was just released for both platforms. Get the app for iPhone and Android. It's free.

This version fixes bugs and adds one important feature (in the Pro version) - Pause Tracking.

Some of you are already familiar with this feature - the Stop Tracking from the Episode tab - it effectively hides shows from the app, but leaves them in My Shows list and keeps their watched episodes progress so that you can resume tracking them later.

FINALLY!! We now have the ability to Stop Tracking shows from the mobile app. This is THE one singular feature for the mobile platforms that I've been waiting for! I already gave this app five stars and a great review @ Googleplay; too bad I can't give it five more stars. Great work and keep it up!! =)

Loooving the Pause Tracking feature.

My only question is... why is it called STOP tracking on the site, but PAUSE tracking on the app? That's a huge difference in function. Don't they do the same thing?

It does the same thing. It's called differently on the apps, because Pause is the better word for it.

Probably gonna rename it on the site as well .

Windows phones are so bad, tech rumors say even Microsoft (Nokia) is thinking about stopping making them :)

well i m having an issue. I got 2 phones and 2 google accounts.1 work phone and 1 personal. Do i really have to buy the pro fuctions twice? If so it would kind of suck :S i already bought it on my personal phone. Do i need to buy it again because i have a different google account for my workphone?
Otherwise great additions.

@tsakmak, why would you want it on your work phone.? If you leave, the phone stays with them, and you lose everything on it. Treat it as a business tool only, and keep your work/personal lives separate.

@santah yeah well its not a big deal.I was actually expecting the pro benefits to be tied on the login info and not the google account.But then i started thinking :P
@wizard with the amount of overtime i do that becomes icreasingly harder

on the side you have as pro user the feature "Hide 'Not Tracked' shows from Homepage and Calendar" but in the app it is automatically hidden :(
is there a possibility to add this feature or give it the previous functionality? i would love to have the series still in my calender just not in the episode section.

I hate having the hidden shows in my calendar. The whole point of hiding them is hiding them.

hiding and pause tracking are two different things. Of course you don't want to see hidden shows in the calendar, but i would like to see paused shows there (like it was until the last update).

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. When I stop tracking shows, I'm hiding them because I don't want to be notified of any new episodes, nor do I want them in my calendar or watchlist. Them being in my calendar is me being notified of them, so I hate having them in there. :)

settings - site wide - Hide "Not Tracked" shows from Homepage and Calendar.

I hate the fact that the Android app for Next Episode used to be a paid app ($1.28), but now is free with the optional "Pro" user upgrade which is around $2 for 'existing' Next Episode users. This is one of the only apps on my phone which I actually bought because it is so useful. I appreciate the fact that the app is much more optimised and feature-rich now, but am thoroughly disappointed in the obvious and greedy cash-grab from the developer. The "Pro" user upgrade should have been free for the users who paid for this app and have been using it from the beginning. Now, you want me to pay to unlock two of the most useful features of this app, Stop Tracking and the NextEpisode widget, on top of the payment I already made to purchase the app! I think not!

Hey there, I'm sorry for the confusion. Other people have asked the same question - clearly I have failed to explain what is going on here.

The latest update turned the app free, but existing users like you (who previously paid for it) - have more features than the free users.

You have lost no features, gained some bug fixes and tweaks from this update and an optional in-app purchase that adds new features (like widget, creators, push notifications etc).

As an existing users, you not only get more features than the free users, but you're getting 50% discount on the pro upgrade.

But even if you decide not to upgrade - you have everything you paid for (and is more than what free users have).

Let me know if that clears it up and if it sounds fair to you.

I would love it , if there were 2 boxes for each episode

Otherwise I love your app
wish the calendar would talk to android calendar so it was not always be necessary to check app, could download the ical I know but it has to be updated every month - does not sync :( or mine does not.. Like the alerts in pro version :)

I abhor the habit of pushing yet another app for each website users visit. Making one page that works at various resolutions without unnecessary popup menus (which fail for all kinds of reasons) shouldn't be a major challenge: This isn't 1999 anymore. CSS can make it all fit AND still look good.
